“ENVY” and the entire series is currently exhibited through AUG 30, 2015 at the Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury, MA (U.S.A.); part of the exhibit “LOR3nzo’s 7 Deadly Sins”

 

 

ENVY is represented as the loss of Critical Thinking. In a world of TasteMakers, most people have relinquished their decision powers to the celebrities du jour, abdicating to them their opinions and decision powers.
Hence, the provocative question: “If you were to drink a glass of water, would you know it if was hot or cold? Are you sure?”.  Losing perspective of what is our true character and nature leads people to join the awful cult of averageness; a rush to mediocrity fueled by Consumerism-Capitalism and GREED.

 

 

 

 

 

Born on March 2015, the 7 Deadly Sins series is comprised of 7 paintings each approx 42″ x 25″ x 47″ x 30″ (105cm x 62.5cm x 118cm x 75cm); acrylic, tempera and paint on 10oz cotton duck canvas mounted on custom framing.

The series can be exhibited as 7 individual paintings, or each painting can be joined to one another forming a single composition approx 47″ x 200″ (118 cm x 500 cm).
