7 Deadly Sins: ARROGANCE

PRIDE is not a sin, ARROGANCE is.
When someone, after working hard and smart produces something Innovative and Creative and puts it out there into the world, there’s PRIDE in such action. Why is that a sin? Arrogance is! The constant search for the silver bullet or the shortcut to avoid the good old fashioned hard work in order to get-rich-quick (GREED), that is the sin of ARROGANCE.
The wanting to bypass years of training and experimentation with a sense of entitlement, of having it all right here, right now, that is the sin of ARROGANCE .
The archetypal eye represents awareness of the observer, who can’t help but weep while witnessing the arrogant race to nowhere.
Born on March 2015, the 7 Deadly Sins series is comprised of 7 paintings each approx 42″ x 25″ x 47″ x 30″ (105cm x 62.5cm x 118cm x 75cm); acrylic, tempera and paint on 10oz cotton duck canvas mounted on custom framing.
The series can be exhibited as 7 individual paintings, or each painting can be joined to one another forming a single composition approx 47″ x 200″ (118 cm x 500 cm).
